Best in town!. I had my original underground sprinkling system install by Nicholsons in July of 02. The system has worked flawlessly. They even showed me how to start it up myself. Chris gave me an excellent price and did a wonderful job. I needed an irrigation system for the cottage so I gave them a call. I couldn't believe it. Chris came out himself again to do the bid. I did call another company just to be sure I was getting a competive price. His bid was almost 600. less. I just booked it. I am excited to be having my system installed next week just befor the holiday. It seems today that people only talk about the bad things in the world. I just want to say "It's a pleasure working with you and your company".
When you find something good: Stick with it!. I have had Nicholsons start up and shut down my system for years with great service and fair prices. My neighbors use them now also. They do a wonderful job. Kudos guys!!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.
Listen, I personally have never written a review in my life, but I feel compelled and honestly convicted to tell my experience with Nicholsons.
I hired Nicholsons to get my system started and they guaranteed that they would get this thing going no problem. It has now been 9.5 hours of work @ $65/hr + initial $79 just for the service call. If you know how to add and multiply this come out to $696.50. Apparently they know how to add and multiply because they work by the hour and they are just milking me for everything.
I called another company out and they said that if they didn't have the system up in running in less than 1 hour they would not charge me a thing. Low and behold they had my pump primed, sprinklers shooting water and they were gone in under 1 hour. Funny how these things happen. I guess I should have listened to my wife when she wondered what they heck these guys were doing just walking around the yard.
Now the real question is "do I have grounds to tell these guys to take a hike when it comes to the bill?" Do I pay them for the work they did or do I pay them for the hours they were there? The work they did was next to nothing the hours they were there really has added up.
Do not hire these guys. Take my advice. Please Please Please.

My husband and I just had our system started by Nicholsons. the system works great as expected. I love the fact that I can call day or night and schedule our start ups and shut downs. Year after year these guys do a wonderful job. Thanks again Chris and Jon.

Had my system installed in late October. Jon and the crew were great. I actually had found a price that was slightly lower from a competitor. Nicholsons beat the price by a hundred bucks and I don't have to pay for 12 months. They even bagged the trash and showed me how to shut the system down myself. You guys are great and am glad my friend recommended me to you. My father plans on having you install a new system in the spring. Love the 1 year same cash
Bad Business Dealings from Beginning to End.
The owner told me I would be getting one thing, then installed another, resulting in enormous amounts of water intended for lawn and trees to go onto driveway and street. A follow up call resulted in being told I wouldn't have been happy with the heads that were promised as they break all the time. They attempted to adjust existing heads to focus on lawn only, but it wasn't possible. Even neighbors complain about our wasting water!
Next: Terrible annual service. Like pulling teeth to try and get winterization and spring start up service. No shows, repeat phone calls, wasted time. I repeatedly begged them to help their own business's revenue stream by automatically setting up appointments with their customer base. At $150.00 per service, why wouldn't they? Last fall they never came at all, now my entire sprinkeling system is cracked and broken, needing major repairs by, NOT Nicolsons, but Fliers, who stand by their work, which includes many repairs of Nicolsons customers.
