An elegant, historic hotel for convention-goers.. The Scene
Originally the Pantlind Hotel, this property was designed by the architects responsible for New York's Grand Central Station and the Biltmore Hotel. It was built in 1913, and its rich heritage can be seen in such exquisite details as the lobby's gold leaf ceiling. While it offers numerous packages to lure individual travelers, this is mainly a convention hotel, located adjacent to Grand Center, city's convention and exhibition facility.

The Details
The 682 accommodations are located in the original hotel building and a 29-story glass tower--top-floor tower rooms have great views of the city. They are tastefully done with traditional furnishings and have amenities such as Web TV, Nintendo 64 and data ports. Tower Club rooms include a private concierge, breakfast, hot evening hors d'oeuvres and access to the Tower Club Lounge, which is richly furnished with a leather sofa and chairs and a deco-style fireplace. The newly renovated Plaza Fitness Center has an indoor swimming pool, hot tubs, a sauna, tennis, racquetball and workout facilities. Nine restaurants and lounges, as well as 40,000-plus square-feet of function space, accommodate the crowds that check in here.
