Portland >Food & Dining > Duke's Cajun Bar & Grill
For a blues and Jazz themed restaurant, you would expect some music while you dine. Something playing on through there speakers even. Dead silence and bare wood booth seats makes for a rather uncomfortable experience. The boneless wings are fantastic, but the Philly cheese steak was awful. Avoid this wasted opportunity of a unique dining experience, and shoot for the pleasant "Looking Grand Cafe" right down the road. Great American food and amazing home baked goods.
A pleasant surprise in portland. We try to avoid chains if possible when traveling just to experience and support the local communities. I raised an eyebrow to the ethnic aspect but with magic still in the air from Christmas, I was hopeful. My daughter always orders Mac-n-cheese everywhere we go and theirs was by far one of the best. All our food was awesome. Worth the stop!
Hidden Treasure in Portland!. I've been dining there ever since they opened. I say I'm going to try something different every time I go, but I always get the Muffletta!!! Best sandwich EVER!!! My friends and family say everthing else is great too, but I couldn't tell you!?!
Delicious. Duke's has delicious food! Everything I have ordered has been very tasty. The decor is a tad cheesy, but the food is great! Best in Portland!
User review by vtyke. duke's has a great partially covered deck overlooking the river. their cajun is at least as good as in louisiana and they also have good old american food too-nice drinks, too.
