Overcharged debit card and won't correct it. CU member purchased $8.43 in take out, was charged $12.43. Even though she showed them her statement and the receipt, they told her it was her financial institution's fault. Really? I guess a credit union can just change those amounts as they are presented, right? WRONG!

It's common for a restaurant to get an authorization for the amount of a meal and then add a tip before sending the transaction through for settlement. But this was take-out so there was no tip involved. And contrary to what they are implying, a financial institution just posts the transactions; they can't change them!

That is lousy customer service.

If you want good Asian cuisine, try the Far East on Clyde Park Avenue SW near 36th Street. I use my debit card there all the time and have never, ever had a problem.

Good food if you like to wait.. This is a buffet style restaurant and unless you're there when they're busy you're likely to find a pretty sparse buffet. They don't seem to like to have much food available when there are only a few patrons. The result is that you either wait or you don't get what you paid for. It's not unusual for popular items like the Scampi to be empty throughout your entire visit. Above average food if you're lucky enough, or patient enough to get any. What a shame. These experiences based on 10+ visits.
