Beware: An over abundance of peanuts and nutty people!. The floor is littered with peanuts and the music is way too loud, which almost defeats the purpose of going to a pub! Moreover, the service I had was not great at all! My wife and I waited for fifteen minutes and the pub wasn't even busy! Finally I stopped a waitress and got some service. We felt reluctant to get any at all! By the time we got our drinks, there was no niceties or smiles and they made us feel unwanted. Lastly, we were asked to leave because a member in our party, who is forty years old and obviously over 21 could not show her ID. Well guess what? She wasn't drinking but had just a sip from her dates beer to try it out and they asked us to leave! What were they doing looking in the first place! Perhaps they were unhappy because we tipped low! Yet, we weren't being loud or rude to anyone, unlike some of the other patrons there who were screaming and asking strangers to buy them drinks!

I would say that The Birch on Michigan street is a much better choice if you want a good pub experience. At least there you won't be surrounded with bums and uneducated service people! The West Side is filled with bums and obnoxious drunkards!

One of my Favs. This place has one of the best staffs in Grand Rapids. Not only are they very easy on the eyes but they go out of their way to be friendly. The drinks are great and the burgers are even better. Peanut allergy people should stay a couple of blocks away as peanuts are provided free at every table and litter the floor. The bar is owned by the same group as the night club Monte's two door down and a lot of people wander back and forth. It mainly has a 20 to 30ish crowd and can be very noisy. Definitely a "must see" if you get near the West Side of town.

Classic must. Busy with great people. Classic irish pub, including the drink specials! Tuesdays and Thursdays are a great time, a must with $1 Bud Lights and Labatts and half off appetizers.

GREAT PLACE!!. This is a great place to check out when in Grand Rapids! You have to try their bridge street bomber burger. Service is great, food is great, the place is a ten.
