didn't live up to the hype. Having just moved back from San Francisco, and using Citysearch regularly there, I generally trust the ratings and reviews. This was by far my biggest Citysearch disappointment ever.

The salon itself was nice - very relaxing with a decent decor - and my stylist (I believe he was the owner?) was also nice, but in the end, he didn't listen to a thing I said about my hair.

The best way I can describe the experience is; I walked in a semi-stylish-urban-twenty-something with a simple hair style and walked out with a helmet of hair that aged me a good 15 years. I was embarrassed to even have the receptionist see me.

It was one of those where you run straight to the nearest bathroom and fix it as best you can before going out in public. Then when you get home, you immediately hop in the shower and start over from scratch.

In the end, the cut itself is not bad, and I've made it work for me, but I just can not go to a stylist that doesn't listen!

If only all salons were this cool!. This place is TOPS!!! Walking in the door at this salon and my first impression was "Am I still in Grand Rapids?" No doubt every city has its share of nice salons but honestly, this place wins hands down! I didn't know a salon could look and feel so cool. New York, L A, Chicago, they've got nothing on this place. I have left every salon I've ever visited and had to go home and wash my hair and start my style over from scratch. A friend referred me to Cody, I feel like a million bucks! He's the best stylist to ever touch my hair. He knows his stuff, is up on the latest trends, and for the first time ever made me feel like it wasn't impossible to love my hair when I left. Everyone should spoil themselves this good!

The best experience you'll ever have!. I cannot deny being skeptic to online reviews, but citysearch is right on target! I am new to town from california and did my research for salon options here. Cheveux has the highest rating overall so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I entered the door, I knew I had made the right choice. I have been all over L.A. to many ritzy salons and they don't hold a candle to this place. The environment is unlike anything I've ever seen, the staff is professional, friendly and honest, and the icing on the cake is Cody the salon owner. I knew I felt great about my new image, but my friends and family assure me that this is the best I have ever looked. Cody is truly the best assett grand rapids has to offer. He is not only professional in every way, but also talented beyond belief. My hair has found a new permanent home. Thanks Citysearch!

Second to None!. This place is like nothing I've ever seen. Warm, inviting, relaxing. Great service, friendly staff, incredible ambience, and the best music I've ever heard. I've never had such a wonderful salon experience, and I've also never had so many compliments about my new look. I feel great and my hair is fantastic! Cody is incredible. I will never go anywhere else.

Look out world, Cheveux is by far the best salon I've ever seen.. It's not often that you come across a business that is so immeasurably superior in every aspect. Being new in town I followed up on a recommendation that I had gotten from several sources. Upon entrance I knew I had made the right choice. Not only is this the most beautiful and relaxing salon I have ever seen, it also contains the most highly skilled staff I have experienced. My service was impeccable, I will certainly now be a customer for life. Cody the owner is a genius and truly a master in his field. I have never looked or felt so good.
