Big Boy....dissapointment. I don't eat out much but, when I do, I enjoy Big Boy on Pearl Street in Grand Rapids, MI.

It's my birthday week and Big Boy was my destination

One side if my once wonderful Multi-grain pancakes were golden brown, the other side burnt. There was generally strawberries and blueberries on top. This time I received a small cup of 8 blueberries with two (cut in half) strawberries.

My friend had an over cooked Slim Jim and dark brown fries.

Her side salad was made of super hard chunks of lettuce, one pink tomato slice and a discolored cucumber slice. The blue cheese dressing however...fabulous.

When quality of the salad was mentioned to the waitress she said "yah, the side salads are sad"

When all the over cooked food was mentioned her comment was "I could get you some more fries." and when that was turned down she simply said, "let me get your check for you."

AMAZING. Crappy food, crappy service with no care of customer service. My days at Big Boy....DONE

Great Look! BAD SERVICE!. Brand New store. Great new look! Crappy service. The food was luke warm by the time it reached my table (I was right next to the kitchen!). The wait staff was not helpful and unknowledgeable. But they were friendly (they smiled and said hi every time they past my empty coffee cup!) Yes, I know "It's only a Big Boy." but you should be able to expect good service even at Big Boy. Not to mention they do NOT have a smoking section at this location! How can it be a Big Boy without a smoking section!
