Grand Rapids Street Racers Asso. perfer VITO'S Pizza. Vitos pizza is a favorite of the Grand Rapids Street Racers Asso. The Club has frequented this establishment many times during the spring and summer cruising season. Steve the owner and his employees have treated us with the utmost respect by recieving exellent service and great food. They are and will continue to be one stop on our weekly cruises throughout the spring and summer months and we even stop in winter time just to say hey.Take it from me the President of the grsrs the food is great and served HOT.
Good pizza, I've had nothing but positive experiences.. I'm a college student in my mid-20's that will quite often hang out at the Bitter End, which is right down the street from Vito's. I was introduced to this place because of their $5 deal through campusspecial and I haven't had a single bad experience. If you do order through campusspecial be sure to call and make sure that they get your order, as their system is far from bug-free. In regards to the previous lady that had a "racist" experience: it's any establishment's right to refuse to deliver goods when the person receiving said goods is obviously not the person that has ordered them. There are a number of different factors that could cause the delivery driver to not deliver at that particular time. If I were to ever receive an order from somebody named Andrew and a 12 year white old girl answered the door, I'd ask to see the card that the order was charged to. I'd imagine that when the delivery driver saw "Monica" on the receipt he decided that he should double check. I would definitely say that the establishment itself is not racist, or if there was some sort of racist management working there at some point in time it no longer is the case, as every time I've picked up an order I've been greeted either by an African-American woman or a Latino man. Also, for being a professional WOMEN it would probably serve you well to learn a bit about grammar and word usage.
racist.
I am a professional women who loves pizza, orders it frequently, and orderes it as a gift;via credit card, many times.
I have ordered pizza from Vito's as a gift ( to the same address), paying with a credit card ; numerous times within the past several months. I have NEVER had a problem. nor have I been told that that the credit card used for payment needed to be observed by the delivery worker; in order to receive the( already paid for) pizza.
I have never been asked, by any delivery worker, to show the credit card used for payment when retrieving food ordered.
I ordered a pizza for a friend; from Vito's on fulton, in which I was paying for with my credit card.( where I ve done numerous times with sucess). I was never told (this present time), or with past experiences, that my credit card needed to be shown inorder to receive the 20 dollar pizza.
My friend's African American son answered the door when Vito's delivered. He was unable to receive the pizza from the delivery worker; because it was unusually requested that the delivery personal physically see the card used for payment. Obviously he was unable to meet this request.
I responded ( via phone contact) to Vito's after I was made aware of what happened. When I addressed the situation with the female that took my order and credit card; she stated that she was just following policy. She could not offer any further reasoning as to why my past experiencs were different. I shared with her that I was the one who made the order; and that she NEVER mentioned these regulations to me. I also informed her that I have ordered pizza ( paid for via credit card) as a gift; to this address, many times without having an issue. I even offered to give her my security code.
She refused to rectify this ridiculous situation. And did not offer any insight as to why this current situation was forced to abide by these "special" regulations( that were not consistent with my past experiences with this company, or any pizza delivery service.)
It is obvious that my friends son was treated this way because he is a young, 20 some, African male. I can't believe this happened and I am disgusted. I suggest those of you in GR who will not tolerate discrimination never order from this unfair establishment again.
The best homemade pizza. I grew up on the west side of Grand Rapids and ate food from Vito's often. It has a homemade taste that you don't get from the big chain pizza places. They have lots of options with their subs and pizzas. I recommend Vito's without hesitation.
Best in town.
Vito's has been around a long time, a favorite of the west side. I have moved away but whenever I get back to town I go to Vito's. Outstanding subs and the deluxe pizza is piled high with toppings.
They delivered to my hotel near the airport wow!
EXCELLENT PIZZA. I've ordered from Vito's dozens of times over the years- excellent food and prices, friendly staff, overall great experience every single time.
best pizza in town.
Vito's pizza has a unique taste. It's like eating at home, but it taste really good, from their pizza to their delicious homemade burritto's. They have subs, fries, chicken strips, canoli's, and much more. They are open late and deliver everywhere. I would defintley eat here again and again.
Thanks,
Christina Harasim
