Been here several times, always fun.. Always had great service from waitress when here. No problems, ever. I like the new location better than old.

My first experience. Threatened with being banned!. This was my first experience at the intersection. I had read the review about the being kicked out for no reason. This made me apprehensive and under duress about attending my favorite band who were going to be playing there.

As the show started many people were taking cell phone photos and videos of the act including myself. I did not see any signs banning this nor was I made aware of this. When the show ended I was told I would be banned if I did this again!

BORING!. Mega 80's is usually a blast. The place is packed and the people are fun. However, any other even I attend seems to be rather empty and boring. Every now and again they book a good act. Just don't expect to have the grandest time here.

Great till they moved. The Verve Pipe played the old location many times! Even when the called themselves water for the pool and later when the were Johnnie with the Eye! They are a joke of a band it is embarrassing that people think they are from Grand Rapids. They are not there from EGR and their parents used to pay the old owner of the Intersection to let them play there! The day they stopped letting me by pass the line and come in for free and drink for free was the last time I went there. The 2 of 3 hundred times I did were good times. Staying till dawn drinking with South Side Denny and other great bands they used to book was always a good time! Plus you can no longer get waitress service in the gals restroom! Thats where all the best partying went on! Now they expect people to use the restrooms according to their sex! Wow how 1950s!

Beware, You too could be kicked out for no reason. My girlfriend rented the VIP section on a Friday night for Mega 80's. Besides the $150 she paid to reserve it, each one of the 20 people in our party paid $10 to get in. Late in the night, around 12:30, for no apparent reason, my gay friend was escorted out the door. No explanation given. No warning, no nothing. Just, "You're Out.". The only reason we could come up with that night was that he is gay. Whether or not this played a role, we'll never know because, of course, the manager of the Intersection says it had no bearing. I was not given an explanation until the next day. I want everyone to know that it's "illegal" to be drunk in a bar per the owner/mgr of the Intersection. They sell you the drinks, but then hold it against you when you get "drunk" from them! Apparently if you bump into someone on accident or in any way can be judged as intoxicated this is reason for the bouncers to kick you out. How's that for customer service? There's no warning, no suggestion that one drink water for awhile, not even the refusal of the bartender to serve you. It's straight to the door & out you go. My friend was causing no trouble. He was just having a good time which is why we all go to bars right? SO, I just want everyone to be forewarned, especially if you're going out with a large group, any one of you could be kicked out for no good reason. Kind of ruins the party for the rest of you. Whether or not you'll have a good night is all up to the bully bouncers at the Intersection.
