Service department no good. It's been 2 years since I brought my van there but I'm still mad. I have a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan that was running poorly. I was unable to diagnose the problem myself so I took it to K&M in the belief that they may have worked on a Caravan or two. Their approach was to replace expensive electronic (non-returnable) parts including the computer. When none of that worked they finally called Chrysler Tech to find the real cause - a cracked flex plate. Replacing the flex plate required removal of the transmission. When they reinstalled the transmission they failed to properly connect the cooler lines and the transmission ran dry before I got the van home. So, they hauled it back (after I had to nearly scream at them) and re-attached the cooler line and refilled the transmission. A month later the cooler line came off again. This time I fixed it myself and discovered that these geniuses couldn't even install a hose clamp properly. What really bothers me most is that the transmission has been run dry twice because of the inept workmanship. I cannot trust the van for long trips because I'm sure there is transission damage. And after 35 years of being a loyal Dodge man, i'm not sure I could buy another if there is no place to have it serviced.…
