Having Taco Boy withdraws
by ladyjewelsh
I moved from GR to Tampa Bay Florida about a year and a half ago. Noone here has ever heard of a wet burrito, let alone make one. I visited GR about a month ago, and before I even got to where I was going, I had to stop to get one. It was so good. I wish they would open up a shop down here. Noone can touch Taco Boy's delicious burritos. I miss it so much!
- Pros: Best Wet Burritos
- Cons: Can't find anything else like it
Real Mexican food with flavor!

The two sisters who own and run this place make great food! Don't let the size of the building or the name fool you. This is the best Mexican food and town, and probably the least expensive. Come to Taco Boy and be amazed. The wet burritos are so much better that at the Beltline Bar or Cheers or any other of the places that serve warmed up food from Gordons' Food Service.
- Pros: Best Mexican food in town
- Cons: tiny inside
Delicious and homemade!

This is Grand Rapids' first/original Mexican restaurant, and they are one of only 2 Mexican restaurants in Michigan to be awarded some authenticity award (I don't remember the details -- read about it in the article hanging on the wall at the Plainfield location). I love the tacos! The meat is tender and creamy. The hot sauce is also delicious. I can't comment on the other food because I love the tacos so much that I have never managed to order anything else.
- Pros: Delicious food, fast service, several locations
- Cons: small dining area at Plainfield location
