Gone Downhill ... Badly!. I come to Grand Rapids twice a year to spend a full weekend at the hotel that Holly's is connected to. I've always ate there no big problem. The past two years or so it has gotten much more affordable.

Now .... The service is worse than McDonald's

Don't get me wrong the food is great. Fries are cooked to the perfect temperature, just slightly crispy and always fresh. Nachos are loaded with meat and cheese.

But .... never go there during the day unless they are having a big event. The restaurant will try to get away with putting one waitress in there.

This waitress that they put in there cannot handle only TWO tables out of the whole restaurant/bar. (TWO!!) That's it.

After 35 minutes of waiting for the food (timed out) ... of course my family's drinks were empty. When the waitress came to the table, she didn't offer to refill them and she gave NO CHANCE for us to even say anything to her. She went straight back into the kitchen.

When she came out to give the other table their food, we asked her to get refills on our sodas. She said, "No problem, I'll be right back with those in a second." ... mhhmmmm ... NOT.

After another 15 minutes (an hour has gone by) I finally knock on the kitchen door because she has been back there talking to the cook. Then she decided she wanted to have an attitude. We got our drinks but then had to fight with her by getting up and knocking on the kitchen door once more ... probably because she has somebody to "impress" back there. This place has given me a major headache.

I've never gone to a restaurant .. fast food or not .. and got treated like this before. This used to be the best place to go ... great service, food, the works ... I honestly would never recommend this to somebody unless you were calling in take out. You will probably have to fight with the waitors/waitresses to get what you need .. busy or not. Unacceptable service

If it weren't for the food being half-way decent I would say that it doesn't even deserve one star.

Great service!. Ya can't help but to like this place! Its great food great service! An cake! Coyote appliance repair!
